Staying home during the pandemic has given me more time to plan and explore options for the upcoming Gardening Season. I decided that sharing gardening tip, tricks, and resources with others in my “neighborhood” would be a good way to still “hang” out with people! The main focus of this Gardening Blog is for Northwest Ohio which is a Zone 6 and our plant frost dates are:
Last Frost – May 8
First Frost – Oct 1
Here is my first Garden Blogging Post. I hope you will share your favorite books and apps!

- I will continue to grow herbs, peppers, green onions,
I really enjoy gardening and since I moved to my new big yard 3 years ago I have a much bigger area to create my gardens in! I started the seeds in the house and the first year I put a rectangular raised garden bed using concrete blocks. I believe I bought 8 the first year and added 10 the second year.
18 x .72 = 12.96 concrete blocks (2 years)
7 x 4.96 = 34.72 organic Soil (2 years)
Total cost for garden creation year one and two: $47.68
I subscribe to the Farmers Almanac Garden Planner and this is what my 2017 Garden Plan looked like:
